Speaking of Hercules, I thought back on that same hydra scene when figuring out how to draw the RM hydra stump for this fight. As a kid, I always wondered why it looked that way, but now I get it: It's basically a cross-section of the spinal column, esophagus and neck muscles. A tad gruesome, but also kinda cool.
