Just felt like I should update the news. Still looking for a job, still too busy with that to draw enough to bring back the buffer yet. Would like to be able to do multiple updates a week again before the year is over, but we'll see how it goes.

On top of the job hunting, I hang out with fellow geeks at a local comic book store on Mondays to relax and draw, and I've taken up taekwondo for exercise. Both are going better than the job hunting, heh.

Still semi-active in the Dragon Age fan community, though I haven't drawn any new fan art in about a month. Think that's about it on my end. Hope things are going well for you guys. Oh, and share some good thoughts/hopes for Carissa - she's currently attending law school AND working retail, so she's got it rough right now. Wish her luck in her endeavors!

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day Jan 11 2010 Briana
As the header says, today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. As I mentioned a few weeks back, there was a Comic Creator Alliance drive started by Lora Innes of The Dreamer. Participating comics drew one of their female characters to be part of a large donator's wallpaper. All the proceeds will go to charities that prevent and help the victims of human trafficking - modern day slavery which targets mostly young girls/women, primarily for forced prostitution. Show your support against this crime by donating, please! Rune Master is proud to support this charity, and we would be even prouder if you showed your support too. :)

On a less somber note, you may have noticed I rearranged the sidebars a bit. I did this because the Palace in the Sky network ad rotater more and more often has what I would consider VERY distracting animated ads. While you can view the comic archive without any layout stuff, including ads (Lowspeed archive), I find it rather annoying and that it takes away a bit from the site's focus - the comic. However, I am not annoyed enough to leave Palace in the Sky over it, because it's full of awesome people and I completely understand that the ads they run help fund the network, which Cat kindly pays out of his own pocket. So, instead I moved it down a bit - not to where it's unseen, but to where it's - hopefully - a little less distracting when the animated ads run.
