I love Udvsanvhi, even if we don't see him much. This isn't his first appearance; he's been in the background with the town's crowd a few times before.

Two culture things that might interest some of you: The blue stripe on Udvsanvhi's face symbolizes "spiritual openness" and is used by an Illphi who wants to be closer with the spirits. Shaman often use it while performing rituals. There are many face paint designs used exclusively by shaman, but they tend to be reserved for festivals and wartime. This one has a more practical, everyday application.

The second note regards the hand gesture the shaman is making in panel two: To northern Illphi, this gesture represents the junction of a woman's thighs, and thus symbolizes womanhood or women in general. Udvsanvhi uses it here as emphasis for his confused question.
